The Infestation of the Blue Planet

Poster created for a class assignment based on a visual example for the word "encroachment" and/or its synonyms

Poster for Experimental Typography
"The Infestation of the Blue Planet"
The poster is a structured comparison of the skeletons of the human body and the cockroach body to highlight the parallels between house-pests and the Earth's rapid encroachment by the human species.
The anatomical drawings were carefully compiled to fuse into an illusion of a complete creature. As the whole, the human body's peripheral outer layer fuses into the cockroach's exoskeleton.
The individual anatomical descriptions aren't truly scientific. Infact, take a closer look, and read them.
The goal behind this poster is to provide the visual example of the word "encroachment." The word "infestation" is a synonym, and the concept of the growing human civilization depleting and disrupting other ecosystems not unlike pests needed an expression in today's world (which might cease to exist soon, actually).
